Patient Liaison Officer
Denise is the practices Patient Liaison officer. Denise supports the Practice Manager in any complaints and is the first point of call if patients have any issues or complaints with the practice.
The team of 12 receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GP’s, nurses and HCA’s. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries, dealing with patient records and other documentation.
The three prescription clerks process all incoming prescription requests sending them to the GP’s to issue and sign.
The two medical secretaries deal with referrals to hospital consultants as well as calling patients into the practice if in need of specialised clinic appointments. They also deal will all the incoming documentation and ensure it is processed promptly and correctly. They will be happy to assist you with any queries you may have on these matters.
The team of 5 data clerks process all the incoming documentation. They ensure this is all recorded in patients records and then forward to the GP’s for them to action as necessary. They will also document on patients records any information which the GP’s highlight as important.
As a training practice we regularly have GP registrars working over 6 month intervals.
