Patient Liaison Officer

Denise is the practices Patient Liaison officer. Denise supports the Practice Manager in any complaints and is the first point of call if patients have any issues or complaints with the practice.

Non-urgent advice: Receptionist / Care Navigators

The team of 12 receptionists / care navigators provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GP’s, nurses and HCA’s. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries, dealing with patient records and other documentation.

Non-urgent advice: Prescription Clerks

The three prescription clerks process all incoming prescription requests sending them to the GP’s to issue and sign.

Non-urgent advice: Medical Secretaries

The two medical secretaries deal with referrals to hospital consultants as well as calling patients into the practice if in need of specialised clinic appointments.  They also deal will all the incoming documentation and ensure it is processed promptly and correctly.  They will be happy to assist you with any queries you may have on these matters.

Non-urgent advice: Data Clerks

The team of 5 data clerks process all the incoming documentation.  They ensure this is all recorded in patients records and then forward to the GP’s for them to action as necessary.  They will also document on patients records any information which the GP’s highlight as important.

Non-urgent advice: Respiratory Physicians

We a Respiratory Physician at the practice named Nana Sefa-Sarpong. Nana carries out patients Asthma and COPD reviews.

Non-urgent advice: Community Matron

The practice has a Community Matron attached to the practice who helps to provide care for our most vulnerable patients.

District Nursing Team work with us within the community.  They can be contacted on 0151 511 5651.

The Health Improvement Team come to the practice once a week and perform health checks for our eligible patients.

Non-urgent advice: Wellbeing

The practice has a Wellbeing team that attend the surgery to provide mental health support and reviews for our patients.

Non-urgent advice: Age UK

Age UK are attend the surgery to support our elderly patients with a variety of needs. She can help with financial difficulties, housing difficulties, mental support and much more. Please contact the practice for more information or see the below link.
